Thomaston Historical Society Programs for 2010

Our regular  meeting dates are the second Tuesday of the month.
The building is open beginning at 7:00 P.M. Please come early and join us for refreshments before the meeting.
The programs begin at 7:30 sharp.

Sam Fuller,  Maine Bottle Expert, presents an overview talk on Maine beverage bottles (soda, spring water and beer)


Saturday, July 24th  
at 10 A
.M.
  (for presenters' sign-in) and 10:30 A.M. for the actual ceremony.
 
Annual Laying of Wreaths Ceremony for Major -General Henry Knox at the Village Cemetery.  Attendees gather at 10 o'clock for the 10:30 A.M. ceremony. Followed by the annual Knox Day Celebration Reception at the Society's Farm House



Tuesday, August 10th at 7:30 P.M.

'Lighthouse Memories" - living in lighthouses,   a talk by author Maria Rogers



Tuesday, September 14th  at  7:30 P.M. Novelist, print dealers & historian Lea Wait will talk about the historical inspirations for her Maine based mystery novels



Tuesday, October 12th at 7:30 P.M. John D. Bottero, VP, Thomaston Place Auction Galleries: licensed auctioneer and appraiser, will hold an Antiques appraisal, plus antiques discussion
