Thomaston Historical Society Programs for 2008

Our regular  meeting dates are the second Tuesday of the month.
The building is open beginning at 7:00 P.M. Please come early and join us for refreshments before the meeting.
The programs begin at 7:30 sharp.

Early Maine Buildings - a lecture by Les Fossil. Bring photos of your architectural puzzles. A Field Study Class is being offered starting the week of May 19th, which will run about five to six weeks.

John Bottero, Thomaston Place Auction Galleries, will talk on identifying and preserving antique heirlooms followed by a brief appraisal session.

Annual Laying of Wreaths Ceremony for Major -General Henry Knox at the Village Cemetery.  Attendees gather at 10 o'clock for the 10:30 A.M. ceremony

Lecture by Chris Adams on Native American Artifacts found on local sites in the area.



Tuesday, September 9th

History of the Thomaston Library - A lecture presented by the Friends of the Library.



Tuesday, October 14th

P.M.
Douglas Winterich, Executive Director of the General Henry Knox Museum, will lecture on the upcoming programs and events at the Museum.



Tuesday, November  11th at 7:30 P.M. Lecture on Local Shipyards.
